The actress, who rose to fame on the television show 'Gilmore Girls' gave birth to her son around six months ago, but the news was only discovered recently when Bledel's Gilmore Girls co-star Scott Patterson accidentally mentioned it during an interview.
He told US Glamour magazine: "She's really blossomed as a woman and now she's a proud new mother and married and happy. We're comparing notes because my son [born July 2014] is about a year and a half older than her young son. I'm showing her photos and videos and what to expect. We're just really enjoying each other's company."
A representative for Bledel has since confirmed that the actress and her husband, Vincent Kartheiser secretly welcomed a baby boy last year, but did not give any further details.
The couple first met on the set of 'Mad Men' and revealed their romance in 2012. They became engaged in March 2013 and tied the knot the following year but kept the news private for two months.
