The former TOWIE star made the admission during her showbiz news section on ITV's This Morning on Wednesday.
McCann, 25, revealed that she and the 20-year-old Tottenham Hotspur star were both at the same nightclub one night – and the rumours of a romance between the two began.
Speaking on the show, however, she said the rumours were just that, explaining: "I will confirm now because there are so many stories and rumours always coming up, I am 100 per cent single and ready to mingle!
"I am not going out with a footballer. Honestly, I am not! There was a story... we were in the same club. How that means we are dating and going out is ridiculous!
"I am not going out with anyone. I am single. I can confirm there is no Tottenham Hotspur footballer in my life. I read I was a WAG in training. I don't want to be a WAG!"
Just last month, McCann was quoted as saying she was dating a sportsperson, but declined to say who.
