Jacqueline Jossa has said she will no longer be defending her romance with Dan Osborne. The couple, who have a daughter named Ella together, have been the subject of separation rumours and criticism throughout their relationship.
Just weeks after they started dating in September 2013, for example, it was revealed Osborne was expecting a child with his ex-girlfriend Megan Tomlin. The couple later welcomed a son, named Teddy, together but did not reunite.
In 2014, it was revealed that Osborne and Jossa were dating again and just a few weeks later, Jossa was pregnant with their first child. However, last year, Osborne hit the headlines after The Sun newspaper obtained recordings of the former TOWIE star threatening his ex-girlfriend, as well as referring to his daughter Ella as a "mistake".
Despite the controversy, Jossa stood by her partner and the couple announced their engagement in June 2015. And now, speaking to Closer magazine, the 23-year-old EastEnders actress has said the pair have put their differences behind them, adding that everyone else should be able to do the same.
"I don't care about negativity with me and Daniel, I'm over it," she is quoted as saying. "I'm not defending him anymore; I don't care – it all happened a long time ago. Daniel gets on with Teddy's mum, and that's all that matters now – the past is irrelevant.
"There are, of course, times when I'll wobble a bit and things are upsetting, but I got home and see Ella and it puts everything into perspective. She keeps me strong."
She added: "I wouldn't be with someone if I had something terrible to say about them. If there was anything bad going on in my relationship I'd be the first to run away! I'm not stupid."
