Georgia May Foote has praised her boyfriend Giovanni Pernice, saying he is the "best thing that's ever happened to her."
In a new interview with the Daily Mirror, the Coronation Street actress added that Pernice helped her through her separation from ex-boyfriend Sean Ward.
She told the publication: "Gio is my best friend and he has helped me through a lot. He's the best thing that's ever happened to me."
Foote, 25, and Pernice met last year when they partnered during the last series of BBC show Strictly Come Dancing. The couple became good friends, but speculation soon arose that the couple were also romantically involved – despite Foote still being in a relationship with Ward. However, she has since denied she was unfaithful to her partner, insisting that her romance with Pernice began after Strictly ended and after she had split up from her ex.
