Sam Faiers has once again defended her boyfriend Paul Knightley.
The couple welcomed their first child together in December 2015, but their relationship was criticised last month after they appeared on their own reality television programme, The Baby Diaries. After the show aired, which followed the pair as they prepared for the birth of their first child, viewers hit out at Knightley, describing him as "controlling" and "unsupportive".
The claims came after he was seen demanding his partner make him beans on toast – even though she was breastfeeding at the time. Another instance saw the property developer take a two hour nap whilst his partner was in labour.
At the time, the 25-year-old former TOWIE star defended her partner saying he was a good father and was not lazy, and now in an interview with Closer magazine, she has reiterated her claims.
She told the publication: "He's not lazy or unsupportive. He's a brilliant partner and he absolutely loves being a dad.
"He adores Baby Paul – every night he baths him before bed. It's like their little father and son bonding time. He'll then give him a baby massage, which is really cute."
Faiers and Knightley met in October 2014 at a bar in Essex. Five months later, the couple announced they were expecting their first child together. Their son, also called Paul, was born in December 2015.
