Smith, 22, previously dated One Direction singer Liam Payne, but the couple called time on their two-year romance in October 2015. At the end of last month, it was revealed that Payne had moved on from their relationship and was dating Cheryl Fernandez-Versini – who separated from her husband Jean-Bernard last October as well.
The couple's relationship has been met with surprise and criticism due to the 10-year age difference, and now Smith is alleged to have commented on the reports. She is quoted by Now magazine as saying: "It's so weird. I knew about them a little bit ago, but who thought it would actually come out?"
She also added that she was "okay" about her former partner's new romance.
