The 'I'd Do Anything' star made the confession during an appearance on ITV's Loose Women. She told the panel: "I'm engaged. I've been engaged for four years now. I think the thing with me is that it's hard to plan it and that's because a lot of people who I want to be there, like my dad, won't be there.
"My dad won't be able to give me away because he won't be there. I don't like to face reality really. I've got my best mate but I don't want to face that big day."
Prenger, 36, did add that her father was able to see her get engaged to her partner Simon Booth four years ago.
"I sadly lost my dad after I got engaged but I'm glad he got to see that, I really am," she continued. "The actual engagement itself, Simon planned this whole church in Dublin, because I love Dublin, it's where St Valentine is apparently buried – I don't know I haven't checked – and he got the choir to sing our song and then I was on tour with John Barrowman and I got the call to go to Australia, so he couldn't propose. It got cancelled."
