On Monday, 07 December, the 22-year-old confirmed to The Sun that she was in the "early days" of a relationship with the American singer. Something her Little Mix bandmate Jesy Nelson seemed to back up.
The 'romance' started over the weekend, at Capital's Jingle Bell Ball where Little Mix and Derulo were performing. Jesy told The Sun: "[Jade's] got someone on the go. His name starts with a J... then a D."
Thirlwall then chipped in: "He's very hot. It's early days."
However, she has now taken to Twitter to deny the claims, saying the situation has escalated.
She told her fans: "Guyyyys [sic] I'm not dating anyone! Me and the girls were joking around... banter gone wrong!"
