An insider told InTouch magazine: "Out of nowhere, he cornered Kourt and popped the question.
"She told him she is not ready to forgive him yet. He made a joke about wearing her down. It's only a matter of time before he asks her again."
Kourtney and Scott split several months ago and have three children together.
Scott checked into rehab earlier this year as he has previously battled with alcohol. He is currently an outpatient at Cliffside Malibu Clinic.
