According to Us Weekly, Rossdale is said to have had a three-year affair with the family's nanny, Mindy Mann. It is thought Stefani was only alerted to the couple's affair in February, after another one of the family's nannies allegedly discovered explicit messages and nude images on the family's iPad and informed the singer.
When initially confronted about the claims, however, Rossdale denied being unfaithful and claimed the messages were down to “flirtation”. A few months later, he is alleged to have confessed to his adultery.
A source is quoted by the publication as saying: “It completely devastated her. She was mortified, livid, and embarrassed.”
Following Rossdale's confession, Stefani filed for divorce, while Ms Mann – who was first employed by the family in 2008 – is thought to have been fired.
In August of this year, Stefani confirmed her 13-year marriage had ended. She and Rossdale have three sons together – Kingston, nine; Zuma, seven; and Apollo, who was born in February 2014.
