Sources told Closer magazine that despite her heartache over the plot she's trying her best to find happiness for herself and her children in their new home in Sussex.
Kerry tweeted: "Really have got to say, I've really met the most lovely people in my new home town!!
"It's so nice to make new friends!! Thank you."
A source also told the publication: "Kerry has really thrown herself into her new community, making friends with other parents at the children’s schools. She wants the kids to feel settled and have as normal a life as possible. She’s been friendly to all her neighbours and has even gone to the local church to meet other new friends.
"She's been overwhelmed by how nice everyone is and has said her new friends are really helping her through her heartache over George."
