The news comes just days after Kardashian's sister Khloe rushed to a hospital in Las Vegas after it was revealed her ex-husband Lamar Odom is fighting for his life following an alleged drug overdose.
According to People magazine, 32-year-old Disick checked into a drug rehabilitation centre in Malibu after receiving an ultimatum from his ex regarding their three children.
A source is quoted by the publication as saying: "He wants to make it stick this time because he has come close to losing everything."
Disick has previously spoken of his battle with depression following the sudden deaths of his parents just months apart. His mother Bonnie died in October 2013, and just three months later, his father, Jeffrey, passed away.
It was later claimed that Disick had turned to alcohol, and his continuous partying lifestyle put pressure on his relationship with Kardashian. Earlier this year, the reality television star was spotted getting cosy with a woman while he was on holiday – while his girlfriend was at home looking after their three children.
Kardashian and Disick started dating in 2006, after meeting at a friend's house party in Mexico. They welcomed their first child together, a son named Mason, in December 2009. Their daughter Penelope was born in July 2012 and in December 2014, their second son Reign was born.
