Prior to transmission, fans were asked to submit a message which, if chosen, would appear on the blackboard at the Rovers Return pub. It was later revealed a fan called Adam had won the competition. His message was a proposal, which read: "Katie Lowe will you marry me?"
Adam later tweeted to say his partner had said yes. He wrote: "I'm officially engaged. What a night!!"
