The TOWIE star made the confession during a recent interview with OK! magazine.
Explaining why she is trying to keep the romance away from the media, she said: "I am [dating someone] but I'd rather keep things private for now. I'll just see what happens.
"I've been so content and happy on my own and I think that's why I wasn't just saying yes to anyone who asked me out."
Wright, 30, previously dated her TOWIE co-star Ricky Rayment, but has said she will now only date someone who is "absolutely right" for her.
"I've kissed a lot of frogs. I used to be so open to people asking me out and persistence worked in the past, but now I feel so much stronger and I won't go anywhere near someone unless I think they're absolutely right," she added. "I don't really go on a date unless I'm comfortable enough. If I met a guy in a bar and he asked me out, the odds of me saying yes first time are very slim. I get nervous and uncomfortable and I'd rather get to know the guy first."
