Caroline replied: "Only with the beard, only with the beard… no I don't!"
She than revealed Nick has also taken a liking to Simon. She said: "You said you did! We confided in each other.
"We said we weren't going to say anything!"
The 12th series of the X Factor starts on ITV on Saturday at 8pm.
