However, Little Mix supporters were not happy with his retweet.
One said: "You are so immature." Another said: "Respect Perrie at least a little bit."
Zayn also decided not to attend the Teen Choice Awards to avoid Perrie.
A source told HollywoodLife.com: "Zayn is in LA and easily could have attended, but he didn't want to deal with all the drama.
"Not only Perrie, but being nominated against 1D for Choice Male Hottie makes him feel uncomfortable too. He is going to steer clear of the whole scene."
