Last month, it was claimed Katona, 34, had kicked her husband out of the family home following a series of arguments. However, earlier this week Kay was spotted moving back into the house, but those close to the couple have said they are now worried about the toll the marriage is taking on Katona.
A source is quoted by Closer magazine as saying: "Kerry is torn. She feels embarrassed after vowing she'd be strong and not take him back. When she's talking to her friends, she questions her decision, but she wants to give things a go for the sake of the baby."
Adding that the situation is purely a "ticking time bomb", the source added: "Kerry's friends are worried that she's shut herself away from them again. Kerry wants to believe things will turn out OK; she still wants the happy ending, but friends are concerned the marriage is too volatile to work."
Katona and Kay have been in a relationship since 2012, but have been friends for a number of years. They announced their engagement in 2013 and in April 2014, welcomed their first child together, a daughter named Dylan Jorge.
While Dylan is Kay's first child, his wife is also a mum to Molly 12, and Lilly Sue, 11, from her first marriage to Brian McFadden, and Heidi, seven, and six-year-old Max from her second marriage to Mark Croft.
