Police Appeal After Engagement Ring Is Stolen

Lancashire Police has appealed for information after an engagement ring was stolen during a burglary in Turton.

The ring is a yellow gold solitaire diamond ring and was bought 22 years ago for £16,500.

It is thought to have been stolen from an address in the High Street area at some stage between Monday 27 July and the morning of Thursday 20 July.

PC Alison Culshaw of Lancashire Police said: "I would appeal to anyone who may have seen anybody acting suspiciously in the area near to where the burglary took place to contact us with information."

Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101, or the charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
