The charity closed on 31 July, and is currently being run by administrators.
In a statement, BAAF Chief Executive Caroline Selkirk said the charity had to take "immediate action" to ensure some of its services could continue.
She continued: "To secure the future we made an approach to children's charity Coram and agreed a way forward which will see the transfer of some of BAAF's functions in England to the Coram Group and to a new and independent entity, CoramBAAF Adoption & Fostering Academy."
It is understood a lot of the charity's work in England will go to the Coram Group, while in Scotland, it will be transferred to the St Andrew's Children's Society. BAAF Northern Ireland and BAAF Wales continue to trade on a limited basis for a brief period to allow consideration of options to transfer some services and staff to an alternative provider, the statement added.

UK Adoption Charity Forced To Close
An adoption charity in the UK – the British Association for Adoption and Fostering (BAAF) – has been forced to close due to, what it has called, "significant changed and prevailing economic conditions."The charity closed on 31 July, and is currently being run by administrators.
