Appearing on The Only Way Is Essex on ITVBe on Wednesday evening, the pair were spotted playing pool together, sparking claims that they were romantically involved.
However, Wright has now spoken out against the reports in an interview with the official TOWIE website. She said: "I had a lovely time with Pete. I wouldn't call it a date, it's more friends getting to know each other. He's a lovely boy and we do have chemistry. We get on really well. The banter is always flowing between us so it was nice.
"I don't want to get into dating at the minute because there is so much pressure. Everyone is like, 'Jess and Pete are together'. No, we've gone out on our own and had a good time.
"I don't want it to go into a dating thing but I do enjoy spending time with him. I suppose we'll see what happens and see where it goes. I don't want to be on candlelit dinner dates and stuff like that because before you know it, everyone in Essex is like, 'Pete and Jess are together!'"
