Louis Smith has denied reports that he is planning to propose to his girlfriend Lucy Mecklenburgh.
The couple have been the subject of engagement rumours for a number of weeks, but appearing on ITV's 'Loose Women' on Monday, the 26-year-old Olympic gymnast said there no such plans were in the making.
When asked by panellist Ruth Langsford if they were to marry, he said: "I'm sorry, but we're not. I woke up and googled that and it said that we're engaged."
Then, when another panellist, Jamelia, encouraged him to pop the question, he replied: "I'm sorry to disappoint you, Lucy, but we're not getting engaged yet."
Smith and Mecklenburgh, 23, confirmed they were in a relationship in December 2014. The couple initially met months earlier on celebrity talent show 'Tumble' – Mecklenburgh was a contestant while Smith was one of the judges – but they only started dating once the show ended.
