The professional dancer has been with the show since 2008, but during this time, she has been romantically linked to a few people also linked with the show. For example, she previously had an affair with fellow professional dancer Vincent Simone in 2008. Simone confessed to their relationship the following year – when his girlfriend was five months pregnant. A few months after their affair was made public, Rihanoff was then linked to boxer Joe Calzaghe, with whom she had been partnered on Strictly. It has been alleged that the couple got together while the sportsman was still with his girlfriend. Calzaghe and Rihanoff dated for four years before they separated in 2013. Also this year, the dancer was paired with former rugby player Ben Cohen for that year's series of Strictly Come Dancing – and it didn't take long for reports to emerge claiming that the couple had grown close.
The pair have said they are just good friends, but during their time on the show, Cohen separated from his wife Abby and just last month, the sportsman was spotted leaving Rihanoff's West London home after a 10-hour overnight stay. Both parties have denied ever being romantically involved.
On Monday (8 June), Rihanoff, 37, appeared on ITV's 'Loose Women' to discuss the claims about her love life, and she revealed that she almost quit her job on Strictly as a result.
"Last year, [I was] almost there...I didn't come on the show to be portrayed in a certain way," she said. "We all want some privacy."
Jane Moore, one of the panellists on the show then hit out at the dancer saying she had previously courted publicity with her partners in the past by taking part in magazine photoshoots, to which Rihanoff responded: "I just don't think it always has to be negative publicity, because also they don't really know the truth.
"The thing is, it's really up to me and the person I'm with to live our life and decide what's right, what's wrong. I think because I was raised in Soviet Russia for me it was always – let your work speak for itself.
"It's all about what you do on the dance floor, how good you are as a dancer, as a choreographer and as a coach for your celebrities. That's what should be the topic of conversation."
