The singer made the revelation as she spoke at Capital FM's Summertime Ball in London at the weekend.
Speaking about her family, the 33-year-old said: "After tour I want to start on the next one [baby]. It's hard being a woman and wanting kids and fitting in your career and I want them to be close together because the other two are kind of close together, my stepkids.
"So I want to tour, I'm really looking forward to it. I haven't done it since 2013 so I'm really looking forward to putting on an amazing show but I'm looking forward to the tail end, going back into it (pregnancy)."
Clarkson and her husband Brandon Blackstock married in October 2013. The couple welcomed their first child together, a daughter named River, in June 2014. Blackstock is also a father-of-two from his previous marriage.
