Kym Marsh has confessed she was unable to attend the wedding of Michelle Keegan and Mark Wright last month. The 38-year-old is good friends with Keegan as both formerly starred in Coronation Street together. However, due to the recent breakdown of her engagement to Dan Hooper, Marsh has now admitted she skipped the couple's big day so she could spend time with her children.
Speaking to OK! magazine, she said: "I didn't go [to the wedding] as I want to spend time with my family at the moment, what with everything that's going on, but I'm sure Michelle and Mark will understand.
"No doubt we'll catch up before too long! They really do make a gorgeous couple!"
In May, Marsh and Hooper, 32, confirmed they were "on a break", but were still engaged. The couple were first reported to be in a relationship in April 2014, but the romance was surrounded by controversy after Hooper was alleged to have cheated on his former girlfriend Stephanie Waring, who was also a friend of Marsh. Waring later said the couple had separated shortly before Hooper started dating Marsh.
While Marsh initially denied she was dating the personal trainer, he soon took to Twitter to share a black and white photo of them kissing. In December 2014, the couple announced their engagement.
