It is understood the claims first emerged in the Daily Star – but the actress soon took to Twitter to deny the romance.
She wrote: "Daily Star! I went on one date with James Hill and I am not seeing or have dated Danny Simpson.. Ridiculous!
"Sick of people making assumptions about my own life with no facts to back it up! I'm single and very happy being so!"
The 36-year-old later returned to the social networking site to add: "I would like to tag The Sun in my earlier tweet. Being in the same club as someone does not constitute a relationship!
"And if someone could do me a favour and tip off the press that I'm seeing Johnny Depp that would be very much appreciated."
The claims were also denied by Simpson. In his own tweet, the 28-year-old said: "I am not dating or have been dating Stephanie Waring. These lies are hurting my family."
