Kym Marsh and Dan Hooper are reportedly working towards reconciling their relationship.
Last week, it was revealed that the couple were temporarily "on a break", with Hooper later taking to his Twitter account to confirm the news – and assure fans that the engagement was still on.
Now, a source is quoted by the Daily Mirror as saying: "They are moving in the right direction. Kym and Dan have been speaking and things seem to be going on the right track – despite all the drama.
"The engagement is still on but their relationship is going to take time to recover, they think having time apart could do them the world of good."
Marsh, 38, and Hooper, 32, were first reported to be in a relationship in April 2014, but the romance was surrounded by controversy after it was alleged that Hooper had cheated on his former girlfriend Stephanie Waring, who was also a friend of Marsh. Waring later said the couple had separated shortly before Hooper started dating Marsh.
While Marsh initially denied she was dating the personal trainer, he soon took to Twitter to share a black and white photo of them kissing. In December 2014, the couple announced their engagement.
