81% of parents with children aged from between 4 and 5 years old are concerned that their children feel this pressure, and 98% of those with children aged from between 15 to 16 believe they are currently experiencing pressure to conform.
Linda James, CEO of BulliesOut says: "In 2015 there is more pressure than ever before to fit in and we strongly believe this could be a factor in bullying and self-esteem issues in children.
"We should encourage children and young people to build supportive and inclusive peer groups that recognise and value individuality."
The partnership between BulliesOut and Stagecoach Theatre Arts School will offer children practical support through a new range of performing arts workshops designed by Stagecoach Theatre Arts Schools to help young people explore the themes of individuality, peer pressure and inclusive supportive peer groups.
