The model made her comments during an interview with Fabulous magazine, and while she has not mentioned which partner she is talking about, many have speculated that it is her ex-fiancé David McIntosh.
She told the publication: "He came in and out of my life within months. And in a 35-year period, that's nothing. It's like it never happened.
"When you put all your trust into something and it's betraying you on a daily basis, it's confusing. Now I don't have that nay more so of course I'm going to be happier."
Brook, who now resides in LA, added that while she is happier with her life now, she did grow through a hard time following her split from McIntosh – even going as far as to use her social media accounts to hit out at her ex. It was a move that worried those close to her, she added.
"I wasn't myself," she admitted. "It wasn't me. Everyone was like, 'What are you doing?' and I was like, 'I don't know'.
"I lost sight of what was the right thing, hat was the wrong thing. I got caught up in something unhealthy [and] toxic. I'm so glad that is so far away from me now."
Brook and McIntosh first met at a New Years' Eve party in 2013 and embarked on a whirlwind relationship. They announced their engagement in March 2014 but the couple separated – only to reunite – on a number of occasions in the months that followed. In November last year, Brook confirmed she had ended her romance with McIntosh for good.
