The Only Way Is Essex star made the revelation during last night's episode of the reality television show. Bright spoke to her mum, Debbie, and her friends about the relationship before coming to her decision.
She told her mum: "It's like a rollercoaster with us two. I don't think there's anyone I get on better with. I care about him so much. God do we fight. I always say the best and worst times of my life were with James [Argent]. But with Ben it's always so steady..."
Her mum replied: "You deserve to be with someone who makes you feel alive."
Later, Bright was seen talking to her TOWIE cos-tars and friends Georgia Kousoulou and Tommy Mallett, where she admitted she enjoyed spending time with Arg – her ex-boyfriend – rather than her boyfriend.
She said: "I told him, 'You're absolutely lovely but I just don't know if we've got that connection.' He was like, 'I totally agree with you Lydia!' I've never been so relieved in my life.
"I was feeling guilty because I was getting on better with James than I was him."
Bright then told Arg that she was once again single. While smiling at the news, he told her: "Sorry to hear that. Good for you!"
Arg has previously spoken of his desire to reunite with his ex-girlfriend.
