Formerly known as Frank Maloney she underwent her final surgery on Tuesday and is now expected to recover in hospital for 10 days.
A close friend of Ms Maloney told The Sun's Dan Wooten: "She was naturally nervous going into the op - but it's gone well.
"She's comfortable and just needs rest. She ensured she was fighting fit for the operation and got a top surgeon."
Kellie started the process to change gender two years ago.
