Angelina Jolie Has Ovaries Removed Following Health Scare

Award-winning actress, Angelina Jolie, has revealed she has had her ovaries removed due to a second health scare.

In an opinion piece for the New York Times, the mother of six confirmed she had entered early menopause and will not be able to have any more children.


In 2013, the wife of Brad Pitt had her breasts removed after she found out she had a genetic mutation which gave her an 87% risk of breast cancer and a 50% risk of ovary disease.

In the opinion piece, she wrote: "I went through what I imagine thousands of other women have felt.

"'I told myself to stay calm, to be strong, and that I had no reason to think I wouldn't live to see my children grow up and to meet my grandchildren."
