The former Wimbledon champion is set to tie the knot with long-time girlfriend Kim Sears on 11 April. The couple are said to be planning a small, intimate wedding with just their families and close friends in attendance. They will marry at the Comlix House Hotel in Dublane, of which Murray, 27, owns.
It was initially thought the couple would marry at the Comlix House Hotel in Dunblane, of which Murray, 27, owns, but it is now understood they will marry at Dunblane Cathedral. The hotel will still host the couple and their guests before and after the ceremony, it has been reported.
Discussing his upcoming wedding, the tennis star told the BBC that he plans to have three best men on the day – his brother Jamie, and two of his closest friends, Ross Hutchins and Carlos Mier.
His wife-to-be meanwhile, will have four bridesmaids.
Commenting on the wedding, he added: "I'm actually not nervous about getting married to be honest, we've been together about nine and a half years so, we've lived together for six, seven years as well so I don't think a whole lots going to change.
"I think I'll be more nervous about starting a family because I feel like for me, that would be more life changing, in a good way but, I kind of feel we have been married already in the way we spend our lives together and live together so I'm not that nervous about the day at all."
He also said that the couple had not yet planned their honeymoon, confessing: "We will probably do it later in the year, probably in the off season. I'm not sure where we're going to go yet but there's a few ideas."
Murray and Sears, also 27, first met in 2005 at the US Open. They started dating shortly afterwards. In November 2014, an agent for Murray confirmed the couple were engaged.
