Zayn Malik has been forced to apologise to his girlfriend Perrie Edwards – after he was spotted with another woman.
The singer, who is a member of boyband One Direction, was pictured holding hands with a mystery blonde at Seduction nightclub in Phuket, Thailand.
A number of photos showing the couple together were quickly uploaded to Twitter. In one of the images, 22-year-old Malik has his arm around the woman – identified by Hollywood Life as Lauren Rich – and his hand resting on her bare stomach. In another photo, the couple can be seen making their way through the nightclub holding hands, while another shows them standing outside the club, again holding hands.
The singer has come under fire since the pictures emerged, with many criticising him for allegedly cheating on his partner – especially as this is not the first time he has been accused of being unfaithful in their relationship. Others have defended Malik, claiming he and Edwards are no longer dating, after she was spotted without her engagement ring just last week. They also have not been seen together in over two months.
However, it appears the couple are still an item as the singer broke his silence over the situation on Wednesday. Taking to his Twitter account, he told his followers: "I'm 22 years old... I love a girl named Perrie Edwards. And there's a lot of jealous f***s in this world I'm sorry for what it looks like x (sic)."
Malik and Edwards, 21, first met on The X Factor in 2011. They started dating shortly afterwards and in August 2013, the couple announced they were engaged.
