'Reem' is a slang word used by the former TOWIE star which he used to describe anything he thought was cool or fun – and according to reports, the 24-year-old believes his encounter with Ms Mesha, whom he met during a holiday to Dubai, is down to fate.
According to The Sun newspaper, a source is quoted as saying: "Joey couldn't believe that she was called Reem – he even asked her to show him her passport to prove it.
"He wasn't looking for love when he flew out to Dubai, but Reem really took his fancy and not just because of her name. They get on really well and Joey has high hopes. He think it could be fate."
Essex previously dated his TOWIE co-star Sam Faiers. Following an on-off relationship, the pair ended their romance for good last September, but insisted they parted on amicable terms.
