The 38-year-old has said she is unable to have any more children but that the couple would like to add to their family. Marsh is a mum-of-three from previous relationships, while Hooper, 33, has a four-year-daughter named Lexi with his ex-girlfriend Stephanie Waring.
Speaking to The Sunday Mirror, the Coronation Street star admitted: "Dan and I would like to have a child together. Sadly, I can't have any more children, but we could adopt.
"It's wonderful to give a child a home, and it would be a very loving home."
Following severe health issues, Marsh underwent an ablation of the womb, which is a procedure to permanently remove a thin tissue layer of the lining of the uterus. The operation meant the actress was no longer able to have children.
Marsh and Hooper announced their engagement in December last year. They were first reported to be in a relationship in April 2014, but their romance was surrounded by controversy after it was alleged that Hooper had cheated on his former girlfriend Stephanie Waring, who was also a friend of Marsh. Also at this time, Marsh had recently separated from her former husband, Jamie Lomas.
While the actress initially denied she was dating the personal trainer, he soon took to Twitter to share a black and white photo of himself and Marsh kissing passionately. They confirmed their romance shortly afterwards.
