Relationship Issues Cause People To Want A Holiday – Study

Relationship issues are just one of life's stressful situations that can make people feel like they need a holiday.

A new survey, conducted by sunshine.co.uk, asked 2,117 people how often they felt like they needed a holiday, as well as the reason why.

Respondents were first asked how often they get the feeling of needing a holiday. On average, it was said to be three times a week – or 156 times over the course of a year.

As for the reasons as to why a holiday may be needed; 38% admitted family life was to blame, while others blamed their job (49%). However, 29% confessed that relationship issues were the reason for their 'need a holiday' desire, while 12% said they wanted to meet someone.

Sue Anderson, from sunshine.co.uk, said: "It's all too easy to start feeling as though you're in dire need of a holiday, especially when the stresses and strains of everyday life start to wear you down.

"To see that we think this more than 150 times a year is incredible, though! It's important to try and take a break at least once a year, even if you can't stretch to going very far. Taking time out is key to avoiding burnout."
