According to reports, journalist Daniel Simone, who has spent a lot of time with Manson and is scheduled to write a book on the mass murderer, revealed the claims.
Speaking to the New York post, he said 27-year-old Ms Burton, who is also known as 'Star', faked her romance with Manson and planned to marry the 80-year-old so she would gain possession of his body and possessions once he dies. It is alleged she planned to place Manson's corpse on display, in a glass case in LA, and charge people to visit the 'attraction'.
Simone has said Manson is now aware of the young woman's plans however and will not be tying the knot any time soon.
"He's finally realized that he's been played for a fool," Simone is quoted as saying by the publication. "He feels he will never die. Therefore, he feels it's a stupid idea to begin with."
Manson and Burton applied for a marriage license late last year, but it emerged that the 90-day limit expired last week and no wedding took place between the couple.
