Mel B has reportedly walked out on her husband Stephen Belafonte.
The claim comes just days after the couple were said to have had a series of rows. It also follows a number of Twitter messages from Belafonte on Monday (15 December) where he hit out at claims he had attacked his wife.
The X Factor judge was hospitalised on Thursday last week and was said to be seriously ill. She missed the first night of the talent show's live final on Saturday, but was able to return for Sunday's show. However, within moments of her appearing on stage, social media pointed out the singer's "swollen" and "bruised" face, as well as scratch marks on her upper arms.
She also failed to wear her wedding ring, which led to a number of people suggesting that Mel was the victim of an alleged domestic incident.
On Monday morning, Belafonte, 39, hit back at the claims. He wrote: "I don't usually respond to Twitter msgs but I will respond to comments of hitting my wife which I think are quite disgusting un true!
"Mel was very ill a bunch of doctors helped her get better if fans can't just relax B4 being negative they r not real fans of @OfficialMelB (sic)."
Now, according to the Sun, the 39-year-old former Spice Girl has left the couple's London home after having a number of arguments.
A source is quoted by the paper as saying: "Mel hasn't spoken to Stephen once since her admission to hospital last week and as it stands she doesn't want to see him. He didn't come to the hospital at all.
"Everyone around her is encouraging her to stay strong and to leave him for good this time because they don't believe their relationship is healthy.
"Things have been very rocky over the last few weeks. Last week everything escalated and there were a number of big rows before Mel ended up in hospital."
In addition, a new interview with the singer has just been published by Grazia for their Christmas edition – where she is said to admitted she was late fore because of a row with Belafonte.
The magazine quotes her as saying: "I walked in pi**ed off because I had a big row with my husband about stupid stuff. Sometimes he pi**es me off like no other, but he gets me."
Mel B, whose real name is Melanie Brown, started dating Belafonte in February 2007. In June of that year, the couple secretly married in Las Vegas. They renewed their vows in November 2008 in Egypt, in front of their families. In September 2011, the couple welcomed their first child together, a daughter named Madison.
Brown is also a mum to daughters Phoenix and Angel from previous relationships, while Belafonte also has a daughter, Giselle, from a former relationship.
