There has been speculation that the couple's relationship was in trouble recently, but on Monday a representative told People magazine that the wedding had been called off.
"Kate and Matt have been separated for some time now," they confirmed. "Despite this, they remain very close friends and committed co-parents."
Hudson, 35, and Bellamy, 32, started dating in 2010. Just a couple of months into their relationship, the actress fell pregnant with their first child together. In April 2011, the pair announced their engagement and that July, their son, Bingham, was born.
Hudson is also a mother to 10-year-old son Ryder from her former marriage to Chris Robinson. The couple were married from 2000 before separating in 2006.
