Kym Marsh has announced she is engaged to her boyfriend Dan Hooper.
The couple were first reported to be in a relationship in April this year, but their romance was surrounded by controversy after it was alleged that Hooper had cheated on his former girlfriend Stephanie Waring, who was also a friend of Marsh. While Marsh initially denied she was dating the personal trainer, he soon took to Twitter to share a black and white photo of himself and Marsh kissing passionately.
Also at this time, the Coronation Street actress had recently separated from her former husband, Jamie Lomas.
It was later confirmed that Marsh and Hooper were in a relationship.
Taking to Twitter yesterday (7 December), the 38-year-old addressed media reports that she was engaged. She told her followers: "Thank you so much for all your lovely messages. Yes, the news is true and I just can't tell you how happy we both are."
This will be the third marriage for Marsh. She was previously married to actor Jack Ryder from 2002 to 2008, with their divorce finalised the following year. In September 2012, she married Lomas after four years of dating. They separated last year, with their divorce finalised in January 2014.
