Kerry Katona has denied claims her marriage to George Kay has ended.
The singer, who tied the knot with Kay in September, took to Twitter over the weekend to air her grievances. The 34-year-old hit out at claims that had been published in the Daily Star on Sunday.
The paper had claimed that Katona's marriage had ended after she feared her partner had allegedly been taking steroids again.
In August of this year, just weeks before the couple's wedding, former rugby player Kay was detained under the Mental Health Act after he was caught behaving erratically outside the family home. It was later revealed that his behaviour was a result of steroids he had been taking, which he had mixed with alcohol and sleeping pills.
A source was quoted by the publication as saying: "George promised Kerry he would never touch steroids again but she worries. He's been acting strangely and has become withdrawn, clingy and jealous. He won't leave her side.
"They were supposed to be going on a big family trip this Christmas but she doesn't think he's well enough."
The source added that Kay had gone missing for a few hours last week, leaving his wife distraught.
"She was ringing friends in floods of tears because she didn't know where he had gone," the insider claimed. "If George freaks out again the only thing she can do is kick him out. She loves him to pieces and that's not what she wants to do. It's tearing her apart."
However, on Sunday morning (30 November), the mum-of-five angrily hit out at the report and tweeted: "Why would you put a head line on the front page of your paper that's a complete lie????? WHY?? (sic)".
Katona and Kay have been in a relationship since 2012, but have been friends for a number of years. They announced their engagement in 2013 and in April 2014, welcomed their first child together, a daughter named Dylan Jorge. While Dylan is Kay's first child, his wife is also a mum to Molly 13, and Lilly Sue, 11, from her first marriage to Brian McFadden, and Heidi, seven, and six-year-old Max from her second marriage to Mark Croft.
