The couple started dating earlier this year and were reportedly discussing marriage, but last month they decided to call time on their romance.
Speaking to OK! magazine, Wright said one of the reasons for the breakdown of their relationship was because of his partner's daughter feeling "pushed out".
He said that Sim's daughter, Madison, who is nine, suffered from "ADHD and a little bit of autism", and wasn't used to her mother having a relationship.
He explained: "Chloe's not had a proper relationship for eight years and she lets Maddie in her bed so, when I used to stay there, Maddie felt a bit pushed out.
"It was strange because Chloe was sending all the signals that she wanted a relationship – we looked at some houses together."
He added that he was looking for a "serious relationship" with Sims, but she wasn't as ready. The couple do, however, still care for each other.
"Of course [I still love her]" he admitted. "I don't think you can fall out of love with someone so quickly. Chloe says she still loves me."
Wright, 32, and Sims dated for four months. Prior to this relationship, Wright was married. He separated from his wife in 2013, and he currently splits his time between the UK and Spain, where his children live with their mother.
