The couple were reported to have called time on their romance earlier this year, but the Coronation Street actor was quick to hit back at the claims at the time, insisting they were happy and still together.
However, according to The Mirror, the pair's busy work schedules are now said to have caused them to grow apart and they made the decision to go their separate ways.
A source is quoted by the publication as saying: "Sadly they have split up. They both tried to make it work but it just ended up proving too difficult due to their very busy work schedules, which meant they couldn't spend any real time together.
"Amy is often in India for long periods working on her films and that only added to the frustration. It's a real shame but they'll remain friends."
Thomas and Jackson, 23, started dating in April this year after meeting at a Miss England contest. Thomas was one of the judges, while Ms Jackson was a contestant.
