The Only Way Is Essex stars, who talked about marriage just last month, are said to have called time on their romance due to Sims' friendship with her ex-boyfriend Mario Falcone.
Falcone returned to the reality television series last week, but when Sims, 31, said she wanted to go out for lunch with him, her current partner wasn't happy.
They argued about the issue during last week's show, and afterwards, a source is quoted by The Sun newspaper as saying: "[Elliot and Chloe] are both cut up about it. They'd introduced their kids to one another and had moved in together to make it work.
"It's not one person's decision over the other, but they have decided to take some time apart."
Wright, 32, and Sims dated for four months. Wright only separated from his former wife in 2013, but he splits his time between the UK and Spain, where his children live with their mother. Sims is also a mother to daughter Madison, from a relationship with her ex-fiancé.
