Ellie Goulding has reportedly told her boyfriend she is not ready to start a family.
The 27-year-old is currently in a relationship with McFly member Dougie Poynter and it thought when the latter brought up the issue of children recently, both had different opinions on the subject.
Poynter, 26, also writes children's books with his bandmate Tom Fletcher and is thought to have said he is excited at the prospect of becoming a father some day.
However, a source is quoted by Star magazine as saying: "Ellie totally freaked out when she heard that Dougie had been speaking publicly about having babies.
"She's told him that she isn't anywhere near ready to be a mum, and that it's far too soon to even think about it."
They added: "Dougie doesn't think that he spoke out of turn by mentioning that he'd like to be a dad. It's been a bit of a sore point between the two of them."
Goulding and Poynter were first said to be an item earlier this year. They confirmed their relationship in May.
