According to reports, the 53-year-old is planning to start a family with his partner after they marry.
A source is quoted by Closer magazine as saying: "George is saying he's ready to do this – he thought he never wanted children, but meeting Amal has made him realise he is ready for a family. He's so glad that she has come into his life and knows he wants her to be the mother of his kids."
They added: "He's saying that he's looking forward to holding his own child, and watching him or her grow. He wants to be a part of something that's bigger than him."
Clooney and Alamuddin are expected to tie the knot later this month. The couple first announced their engagement in April, having started dating in late 2013. Despite reports that the couple are to marry in London, earlier this month, the actor confirmed the couple would actually be marrying in Venice, as it was in Italy where they first met.
