At around 11.45am last Thursday (18 September), a man entered the H Samuel store on Kings Walk and asked to look at a set of engagement and wedding rings. After talking to the assistant, the man took the rings and fled from the shop.
He ran into the main shopping area and left the Priory Meadow mall, turning into Queens Road. He was last spotted running down South Terrace in the direction of St Andrews Square, police have said.
The suspect is described as in his 40s, white, 5' 8" with dark hair. He was wearing a light pink top and carried a Sports Direct bag. He is also said to have dirty looking hands.
The stolen set of rings have been described as 'Perfect Fit' nine carat white gold, with 2/3 carat diamond set, and is worth £1,200.
