Avril Lavigne And Chad Kroeger 'To Divorce'

Avril Lavigne and Chad Kroeger are set to divorce, after just 14 months of marriage it has been claimed.

The couple married in a lavish ceremony at the Château de La Napoule in France in July 2013. They first started dating in July 2012, announcing their engagement just four weeks later.

According to Us Weekly, a source claimed that the pair are "headed for a split".

They added: "It's over. He has been going around LA and telling people that they're divorcing."

A close friend of 29-year-old Lavigne's is also quoted as saying: "Chad is just a complete jerk in the way he talks to her, and the way he talks to people in general. A lot of her friends don't like him."

Another added: "There's no concrete timeline for divorce right now."

The report fuels speculation that the couple's relationship is in trouble; last month, Lavigne was spotted without her wedding ring. While in July, the singer shared a photo on Twitter of the couple, where she gushed about the 17-carat diamond ring her husband had bought her for their anniversary. The tweet was later deleted, while both Lavigne and Kroeger, 39, hardly now feature in the other's respective Instagram snaps.

Lavigne was previously married to Sum 41 singer Deryck Whibley; they divorced in 2010 following a four-year marriage.
