According to Us Weekly, the couple welcomed a baby girl last week (12 September).
Rumours that the pair were expecting a child together emerged earlier this year after Mendes, 40, refused to use a full-body scanner at the airport. This led to speculation that she was pregnant. However, in February, the actress denied the claims. She told Ellen DeGeneres: "It's so ridiculous. It all started because I didn't want to go through the scanners at the airport. You know those X-ray scanners, which are really creepy?
"They basically see you naked, right? And not only that, but there's a radiation aspect to it, so I always opt out."
Mendes and Gosling, 33, have kept out of the spotlight in recent months, and have not spoken out about the baby news. The couple are known for keeping their relationship as private as possible.
They first started dating in 2011 after co-starring in the movie The Place Beyond The Pines.
