The reality television star made the confession as she appeared on the Ellen DeGeneres talk show. The 33-year-old and her husband, rapper Kanye West, are already parents to 15-month-old North.
Discussing her plans for a larger family, she said: "I'll go for two, but then again I have so many siblings and I love it, they're my best friends and I would love that for my kids. So I'm going to do two and see how it goes.
"I don't think [I'd have] six, but maybe three or four – I go back and forth."
Her rethink on having more children could possible have been swayed by a recent visit she made to her older sister, Kourtney, and her partner Scott Disick who are currently expecting their third child together.
During her visit, Kardashian West fulfilled her role as auntie and helped her sister with the kids.
"I just went to San Diego to give my pregnant sister a break," she said. "I took care of my niece [Penelope], nephew [Mason], and my daughter [North]. To bathe them – all three – feed them, get them in their pyjamas and down for bed, I was literally crying.
"It was so hard, three kids. I don't know how my mom did it with six."
Kardashian and West, 37, started dating in April 2012, having known each other for a number of years. In December 2012, it was confirmed they were expecting their first child together. They welcomed their daughter, North 'Nori' West, the following June and in October 2013, they announced their engagement. In May this year, they tied the knot in a lavish ceremony in Florence, Italy.
